Scandic Footwear boots, clogs and sandals can last many years and in some cases decades, with the some tender love and care — making them a excellent choice for sustainable footwear.
- We utilize the finest leathers from the USA.
- The wooden outsoles are from Sweden.
- Wood clogs may contain certain features as a sign of handmade authenticity. No two pair of Scandic Footwear clogs, boots or sandals are alike. Each pair may have imperfections, such as variations in leather color/tones, the grain in the wood on the outsoles, or even irregular gaps between staples.
LEATHER CARE
All of our top grain, bison, roughman and natural oil tan leathers can be wiped with a warm or cold water dampened cloth.
WOOD OUTSOLES:
Gently clean stains or dust with a warm or cold water dampened cloth. Scandic Footwear wooden outsoles are treated with linseed oil giving a polished look and water-resistent properties. If water is not enough, use sandpaper to remove any stains or imperfections to make your clogs look brand new again.
Water will not damage the wood, but let the wood outsoles air and dry slowly, avoiding hot surfaces or direct sunlight. If a piece chips off the sole, it can be glued back on. Wood that has faded can be freshened up using linseed or any vegetable type oil or wood stain.
